How to Play
“Liar’s Dice” is a fun and social dice game that is played with a set of five dice and a cup. The game can be played with two or more players, and the objective is to out-bluff your opponents by guessing the total number of a certain type of dice on the table.
Here’s how to play “Liar’s Dice”:
- Each player starts by rolling their five dice and keeping them hidden under the cup. Players can look at their own dice but must keep them hidden from other players.
- The first player starts the bidding by announcing a guess for the total number of a certain type of dice on the table. For example, the first player might guess that there are four 2s on the table.
- The next player must then either increase the bid by guessing a higher number of dice of the same value or challenge the previous player’s bid. If the player chooses to challenge, all players reveal their dice, and the total number of the guessed value is counted. If the total is equal to or greater than the bid, the challenger loses a die. If the total is less than the bid, the bidder loses a die.
- The game continues with each player taking turns bidding or challenging. Players can increase the bid by guessing a higher number of dice of the same value or switching to a different value. For example, a player might bid “five 3s” or “three 4s”.
- The game continues until only one player has dice remaining. That player is declared the winner.
“Liar’s Dice” is a game that requires strategy and bluffing skills. The game becomes more challenging as more dice are removed from play, and players must rely more on their intuition and bluffing skills to stay in the game.
