Bunco is a fun and social dice game that can be played with a large group of people. The game is usually played with twelve players, but it can be played with fewer players as well. Here’s how to play Bunco:
- Divide players into groups of four and designate one table as the starting table. Each table should have three dice and a bell. The remaining players will form a line and wait their turn to play.
- At the beginning of each round, all players at the starting table roll three dice to determine the target number for that round. For example, if players roll a 3, 4, and 6, the target number for that round is 3.
- Players take turns rolling the dice at their table. They continue rolling until they score points or roll no points. Points are earned by rolling the target number for that round. For example, if the target number is 3, players earn one point for each 3 they roll. If a player rolls three of a kind of the target number, they earn three points.
- When a player scores points, they ring the bell to signal the end of the round. Players at the other tables also stop rolling at this time.
- Players move to the next table in a predetermined order. For example, the player sitting on the left of the winning player at the starting table moves to the next table on the left. The losing player at the starting table moves to the next table on the right.
- Play continues with players at each table rolling to determine the target number for that round and continuing to earn points until someone reaches the target score of 21 points. The player with the highest score at the end of the game is declared the winner.
Bunco is a simple and social dice game that is perfect for large groups. It doesn’t require much skill, making it accessible to players of all ages and skill levels.
